Formed in 1972, The Edgar Winter Group made an album in 1973 called "They Only Come Out At Night", produced by guitarist Rick Derringer. It featured the classic song "Frankenstein" which went to #1 on the US charts followed by this song, "Free Ride" that topped off at #14 on the charts. Definitely one of the classic signature riffs of the 20th century. |
